Health & Safety Plan - File in Construction Projects
A Health & Safety Plan of a construction project describes and clarifies:
- The Health & Safety requirements that will be applied at the site, after taken into consideration the activities carried out at the site.
- Special measures for operations that include any special hazards and are to be performed.
A Health & Safety File of a construction project includes:
- The project's registration, meaning the drawings and the technical description of the project.
- Instructions and other useful data concerning Health & Safety issues which must be taken into consideration during potential posterior works at all the duration of project's life, such as maintenance, transformation, cleaning, etc. Such instructions refer to a safe way of various work's performance, to the prevention of various network's hazards (water supply, sewerage, electrification, etc), to the fire safety, etc.
- The Health & Safety Plan and File are essential supporting documents that are being submitted according to all relevant legislation for the issue of the construction license. Regarding public projects and in case a construction license is necessary, the Health & Safety Plan and File are part of the technical report submitted for approval.
- The Health & Safety Plan and File must be adjusted depending on the project's development and, in any case, must include real and updated data. These particular reports and data must be kept at the construction area during its development and after the project's completion the Health & Safety File must be kept on the project administrator's responsibility.
Process Engineering personnel have important experience in the development of Health & Safety Plans and Files concerning both private and public construction projects.
