An important compliance monitoring tool

The implementation of Quality Management, Health & Safety and Environmental Management Systems is an essential one-way solution for modern businesses.
Both market requirements and the need to substantially improve working conditions and protect the environment lead businesses to adopt the relevant international standards for the implementation of Management Systems (ISO 9001, ISO 45001, ISO 14001, OHSAS 18001).

These standards provide guidance for the production of products and the implementation of measures to protect the safety and health of workers as well as to protect the environment.

An equally important provision of the standards is the execution of Internal Audits of Management Systems. Too often companies deal with this requirement completely “formally” without benefiting from the conclusions that can be drawn from their implementation.

Competent auditing provides assurance to senior management that appropriate controls are in place to effectively manage the activities and at the same time fulfill the relevant compliance requirements (legal, corporate, social etc).

Through the implementation of an effective Internal Audit program:

  • The management of the company confirms that the requirements of the processes and operating procedures are fulfilled.
  • Discrepancies with regard to legislative and other regulatory requirements are identified.
  • Threats/risks that have been missed or underestimated are identified by the business.
  • Opportunities for improving business processes are emerging.
An Internal Audit program is effective when it is:
  • organized taking into account the size of the business, its organizational structure and the volume of documentation to be audited.
  • performed by auditors who have the competence and experience to perform internal audits of a related subject.
  • supported by executives and business management as an important performance appraisal tool.
Process Engineering is able to support your business effectively by:
  • Analyzing the needs of your business to monitor and control its processes.
  • Developing and promoting an audit program.
  • Developing appropriate checklists to carry out the audit.
  • Controlling the implementation of the Systems processes and their compliance with the relevant requirements (legislation, standards, customer contracts, etc.).
  • Developing audit reports and supporting the business in implementing improvement actions.
